Billund, Denmark the LEGO Group Full time

Are you a wizard with C#/.NET and do you have experience developing applications for both mobile and desktop?

Then get your application ready, this one is for you

Play Software focuses on enabling engaging and seamless digital experiences by developing innovative software tools and platforms. The Senior Software

Engineer role supports this by delivering high-quality software solutions that empower developers and content creators to build interactive LEGO

experiences efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain modular, testable, deployable, and easy-to-maintain software solutions for interactive LEGO products using a diverse tech stack containing C# .NET, AvaloniaUI, and Python to name a few.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create tools that support developers and interaction designers in creating tech-enabled LEGO experiences, considering UX/UI as important qualities.
  • Ensure high software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration, with a strong emphasis on unit testing, while being comfortable with context switching between projects.
  • Support the automation of pipelines and toolchain development to improve developer efficiency and quality of life, balancing between perfecting software and making rapid delivery.
  • Engage in architectural discussions to drive innovation and technical excellence, making loosely coupled IT solutions.
  • Embrace the "You build it, you run it, you own it" philosophy, ensuring ownership and accountability for the software developed.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in software development with C# .NET, with a proven ability to optimize software for performance and scalability.
  • Ability to engage in architectural discussions to drive innovation and technical excellence, seeing the red line across a tool portfolio and putting it into a system.
  • Experience with Git and Git actions, and a strong understanding of security and data privacy.
  • Demonstrated experience in automating development pipelines and improving developer toolchains, with knowledge of Docker.
  • Comfortable working with cloud endpoints and backend integration.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with Unity 3D and interactive application development.
  • Experience working with audio synthesisers.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and backend integration.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for automation tasks.
