Job Description
We are looking for a Data Engineer for our data engineering team in Core Payments Platform data cluster. You will be a foundational player supplying the bank with payments data and insights through our strategical solution to an increasing demand in both volume and complexity of payments data.

Danske Bank is modernizing our approach to data by introducing Data Bricks as a centralized analytics platform. The Core Payments data cluster is the first to implement domain data on to that platform. As such, you will be part of frontrunning team, with creating the template for all other domains to follow. This is a high priority area for the Danske Bank, and you will be at the very centre of the that journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data processing workflows and ETL pipelines in Databricks.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in data engineering and big data technologies to continuously improve methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Strong skills in writing complex queries and optimizing performance.
  • Experience with data processing using compute engines, preferable Spark.
  • Experience with version control (git), Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (eg. Terraform, Pulumi, Databricks Asset Bundles) and CI/CD.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture.
  • Databricks is not required, but a nice-to-have skill.
