About the Studio:

Were partnering with a fast-growing and ambitious game development studio based in Copenhagen, known for creating visually distinctive and engaging titles. The team builds games in Unity for both PC and console, with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and player experience. The studio fosters a collaborative and creative environment where technical excellence and fresh ideas are highly valued.

Role Overview:

Our client is looking for a Senior Unity Engineer to join their talented development team. In this role, youll take ownership of key systems and gameplay features, working closely with designers, artists, and fellow engineers. Youll play a crucial role in shaping new projects, contributing to architecture, implementation, and optimisation within Unity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality gameplay systems and tools using C# in Unity.

  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to translate creative vision into technical solutions.

  • Optimise performance and memory usage across PC and console platforms.

  • Refactor and maintain clean, scalable, and maintainable codebases.

  • Mentor junior developers and help establish coding best practices.

  • Prototype new features and gameplay mechanics to support the design team.

  • Stay up to date with Unity updates, tools, and best practices, integrating them into workflows.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a game developer, with a strong focus on Unity and C#.

  • At least one shipped title on PC or console developed using Unity.

  • In-depth knowledge of Unity systems, including animation, physics, UI, lighting, and performance profiling.

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git or Perforce.

  • A genuine passion for game development and delivering polished player experiences.
