How you will make an impact
Overall, you and your team will own Arla Foods' performance agenda end-to-end – turning strategy into clear targets, tracking progress and ensuring performance is communicated with clarity across the organisation. Working closely with strategy, finance and business leaders, you will future-proof how data and insights drive decisions. Your responsibilities will be:
- Serving as a trusted partner to the CFO, owning the performance narrative and representing performance at Executive and Board forums with insights that shape decisions
- Leading a cross-functional finance team spanning strategic finance, FP&A, investment governance, and performance reporting
- Translating strategy into KPI and target-setting frameworks (incl. ESG), driving execution and accountability
- Owning the global efficiency programme "Fund Our Future" from a Finance perspective
- Delivering timely, high-quality performance reporting and insights to senior leaders to enable informed decision-making
- Ensuring robust investment governance from business case approval through post-investment tracking and benefits realization
- Enhancing planning, reporting systems, and digital tools in collaboration with IT; evolving frameworks, tools, and methodologies
- Driving transformation across regions and functions (incl. M&A integration), maintaining performance continuity and strong stakeholder alignment
What will make you successful
The role calls for someone who can think strategically yet operate hands-on – breaking down complex strategies into measurable, actionable KPIs that drive outcomes. You enjoy diving into financial analysis and take pride in being thorough, structured, and accurate.
Professionally, you bring a solid understanding of financial performance, business cases, and investment governance, linking financial data to strategic direction. Performance management is a core strength, including setting, tracking, and analysing KPIs and target frameworks (incl. ESG). Strong quantitative skills and scenario modelling are complemented by the ability to distil insights into clear, concise executive-level reporting and dashboards. Familiarity with automation, data flows, and finance digitalisation initiatives enables continuous improvement.
As a leader, you collaborate effectively across a complex matrix, influencing without authority and navigating competing interests. Complex financial topics are communicated clearly and credibly as you translate finance into business language and compelling narratives. You are an experienced leader of leaders who develops talent and builds analytical capability across functions.
Personally, a methodical and structured approach is combined with curiosity and a strong business orientation. You seek to understand operations, products, and the drivers behind the metrics. Resilience and collaboration come naturally; you work well under pressure, especially in transitions and transformations, combining assertiveness with humility and listening well to others.
