About the role

As Quality Manager for our NOV SPS DK Quality Assurance and Quality Control team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading our quality strategy. Leveraging your expertise, you will oversee the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with — and surpassing — industry standards such as ISO 9001. 

You will hold company-wide responsibility and authority in all quality control matters, with the mandate to ensure that any change of action complies with the company's Quality Policy. You are authorized to initiate immediate preventive actions to eliminate potential non-conformances before they occur.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the QA team.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and skills assessments to identify training needs and career development opportunities.
  • Participate in the introduction program for new white-collar and blue-collar employees in Kalundborg.
  • Work with the Quality Director to align departmental goals and priorities.
  • Review reports and statistics to ensure QA/QC employees are targeting the most significant and costly non-conformances in production.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure operations are carried out according to documented routines and quality procedures.
  • Analyze proposed changes in practices to assess impact on the quality system's ability to meet requirements.
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with applicable Quality Procedures and develop or maintain standardized procedures and policies as needed.
  • Identify quality-related problems through implemented systems and initiate or recommend corrective actions, working through the responsible line manager and quality department resources.
  • Coordinate the closing of quality-related findings and non-conformances during production and inspections, ensuring corrective actions lead to sustainable improvements.
  • Support projects with quality input when manufacturing non-conformances occur.
  • Act as IQ supervisor on allocated IQs.
  • Participate in client kick-off and pre-inspection meetings.
  • Coordinate the Quality Department's contributions to relevant project plans.
  • Support quality functions and the factory site in Kalundborg.
  • Be accountable for working within the allocated quality budget.
  • Ensure resources are applied efficiently to meet department and project needs.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

  • 5 years of relevant experience in in Quality Assurance/Quality Control roles
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial production environment
  • Good understanding of production processes and quality standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Detail-oriented with high precision
  • Proficiency in MS Office package
  • Fluency in English

Desired:

  • Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in a relevant subject – Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering
  • Leadership experience
