About the Role:

We are looking for a Junior Scientist to join our Product Development team to support projects related to our Gum Base Production & Pharma production.

In this role, you will support the development of technology and customer projects, contributing throughout the entire development flow—from creating formulations and producing lab samples to participating in full-scale upscaling and finalizing documentation in collaboration with the project team.

The Gum Base team is a specialized function within Fertin R&D, dedicated to driving innovation and providing technical support for gum base production. Although small in size, the team plays a critical role in all chewing gum development projects that require new gum bases. The team work closely with other departments on dual sourcing, formulation development, and regulatory compliance, ensuring robust data and documentation for new products and optimized processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and document gum base processes.

• Provide troubleshooting and technical support to the gum base production facility.

• Collaborate with internal teams and authorities to ensure optimal manufacturing processes.

• Implement dual sourcing strategies by testing raw materials at both lab and full scale.

• Conduct lab trials in close collaboration with Development Technicians and Scientists.

Your Profile:

• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in laboratory and/or production environments.

• Ability to plan and execute trials with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Skilled in data analysis and documentation.

• Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.

• Familiarity with QbD principles is an advantage.
