Head of Execution

Our current Head of Execution has embraced new challenges within CM Biomass, and we are now looking for her successor. Join us in Copenhagen and take the lead in shaping international logistics for a greener future—with strong onboarding and support to ensure a smooth transition.

As our Head of Execution, you will lead a diverse team, onsite and remote, coordinating all aspects of outbound and internal transport. You will travel to meet partners, customers, and suppliers, gaining firsthand insight into our end-to-end process and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Your leadership will inspire open communication, knowledge sharing, and creative problem-solving, ensuring we stay ahead in a fast-moving industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and inspire the Execution team, both onsite and remotely, focusing on individual growth, high performance, and competence development.
• Oversee and optimize logistics operations and transport contracts to ensure efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods across multiple transportation methods.
• Manage and optimize transport and service contracts to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure accurate entries in our ERP system.
• Deliver detailed reporting and insights on relevant topics to internal stakeholders.
• Travel to meet with partners, suppliers, and clients to understand and optimize our services.

Skilled and adaptable within logistics and commodity trading

You have relevant experience in trading, shipping, or logistics, and are skilled in team leadership, including leading remote teams. You are detail-oriented, methodical and possess a structured approach to problem-solving.

Furthermore, you have:

• Minimum 2 years of experience with leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
• A background as an operator, freight forwarder, shipping agent or similar, preferably with an additional relevant higher level of education.
• Advanced professional English skills in both speech and in writing.
• Understanding of commodities, trading, and supply chains.
• Knowledge and experience with ERP Systems (Preferably Microsoft D365).
