Aalborg, Ålborg Kommune, Denmark XCI Full time 60,000 - 120,000 per year

Join a fast-growing technology company with a meaningful mission - developing advanced software products that help prevent and fight crime.

At XCI, we ensure that police and intelligence services always have the best technology to protect citizens – in the city, on the street, and in our homes.

We're now looking for an experienced Incident Manager to strengthen our Development Department and ensure smooth coordination, communication, and resolution of customer-reported issues while staying up to date with content of coming releases.

Take ownership of incidents and make a real impact
As an Incident Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring that incidents and issues reported by customers are handled efficiently, transparently, and with the highest level of quality. As part of this, you are involved in planning of coming product releases.

As Incident Manager, you'll act as the bridge between our Delivery and Development organizations, ensuring that every incident is tracked, communicated, and resolved in a structured and professional manner.

You'll join a dedicated, skilled, and informal team where professionalism runs deep, and colleagues support and challenge each other. You'll have the freedom to shape your own ways of working, contribute ideas, and grow both personally and professionally.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of customer-reported incidents and issues, ensuring they are tracked from start to final resolution

• Coordinate internally within Development to identify the right owners, set priorities, and communicate urgency clearly

• Ensure clear and timely communication of issue status to both internal stakeholders and the Delivery organization

• Assess whether other customer systems may be affected and coordinate actions accordingly

• Conduct and follow up on Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence

• Proactively monitor and manage tickets raised from our customers from a Development perspective, ensuring deadlines are met

• Coordinate daily with your Delivery counterpart to align efforts and share updates

• Occasionally engage directly with customers, including onsite visits for major incidents requiring coordination

About you
We are looking for a structured and proactive professional with experience in incident or project management, ideally within a software development or technical environment. You take full ownership of your responsibilities, follow up consistently, and communicate clearly across both technical and business contexts. You thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining structure and focus.

You are customer-oriented and comfortable acting as the link between developers, delivery teams, and customers. Translating "developer language" into clear, customer-friendly communication comes naturally to you.

You have experience with:

  • Incident management or release management within a software environment
  • Software delivery or software project management experience
  • Working with or within software development teams
  • Software release processes
  • Customer communication and stakeholder management
  • Root cause analysis and follow-up processes

Be part of the XCI Team
At XCI, you'll be part of a community of 130+ passionate experts who share the mission of protecting society from criminal threats. Our customer projects are never mission impossible – but they always carry personal meaning and purpose.

We value curiosity, collaboration, and the passion to create technology that truly makes a difference. You'll work alongside motivated and positive colleagues in a dynamic, supportive environment where teamwork and sharing of knowledge are part of the culture.

Our informal atmosphere is built on the principle of "freedom with responsibility", giving you flexibility, trust, and a healthy work-life balance. We place great emphasis on continuous learning and professional growth, ensuring you have the opportunities and support to develop your skills and career.
