Primary Responsibilities

We are actively seeking a self-driven and highly skilled individual with a profound interest in quantitative analysis and forecasting models. As a Quantitative Analyst at Current Commodities, your role will be pivotal in crafting and implementing advanced quantitative models to enhance our trading strategies and elevate decision-making. Specifically, your tasks will encompass:

  • Devising, shaping, and refining forecasting models to anticipate power market trends and optimize trading strategies
  • Harnessing your programming skills to craft efficient and resilient algorithms that incorporate machine learning techniques for predictive modeling
  • Contributing to the enhancement of existing models while simultaneously proposing and implementing novel quantitative methodologies
  • Remaining up to date of industry trends, the latest developments in quantitative analysis, and emerging technologies to ensure our strategies retain a competitive edge

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Hold a degree in a quantitative discipline like data science, mathematics, mathematics-economics, statistics, physics, engineering or related fields
  • Previous work experience within the field
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in programming languages, such as Python or R, and demonstrate a track record of creating algorithms and machine learning
  • Showcase exceptional problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the agility to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess communication skills to convey complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
