Job Description
The Digital Product Design Competency Leader is a role entailing people leadership responsibilities for a team of digital product designers, including coaching, driving personal development, and staffing. This is a leadership role within the digital product design organization reporting to the Head of Digital Product Design for Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
Core ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will bring your phenomenal people leadership skills and your experience within capacity and resource management into play and be part of an elite Design force that reaches The LEGO Group employees around the world. You will be:
- People leader of a team (5+ Designers) (Designers with various capabilities allocated to different projects).
- Taking a leading role in optimizing our designers' ways of working.
- Taking a leading role in optimizing resource management while respecting our people's promise, good collaboration, and portfolio priorities.
- Acting as a leadership role model in the leadership playground, being brave, focused, and curious, leading in a creative design environment.
You will join our omni channel and manufacturing area and lead the team to the different product teams they support. The team supports product teams connecting to areas like packaging, molding, and manufacturing. You will be a part of a leadership team where you can share and gain information.
Do you have what it takes?The ideal candidate holds a degree in a design-related field (Product/Graphic/Fashion/Toys), Fine Arts, Engineering, or similar. You can come from various educational backgrounds, but most importantly, your passion for leading and developing people, combined with experience in digital design, makes you a phenomenal leader. Moreover, we expect you to:
- Have a clear passion for navigating across multiple people-related topics simultaneously.
- Be self-reflective and willing to develop your own people leadership skills.
- Understand how to give and receive feedback.
- Experience running design critiques.
- 2+ years experience managing 4+ people.
- Demonstrate a collaborative approach and efficiency in management at all levels.
- Seek and provide constructive feedback.
- Show the ability to stay calm and focused in stressful situations.
- Hold proficiency level in English (spoken & written).
