Research Assistant - Carbohydrate Active Enzyme Structure, Function and application
The group of Prof Leila Lo Leggio in the Biological Chemistry Section, Department of Chemistry, is expert in enzyme and protein structure and function, particularly of carbohydrate active enzymes.

Job description
We are looking for a one-year Research Assistant (30 hours a week) to work on various projects regarding biomass and carbohydrate modifying enzymes structure, function and practical applications. Experience of working with enzymes is necessary. The ideal candidate has experience of enzyme crystallization and structure determination, enzyme activity and stability assays (preferably with carbohydrate modifying enzymes such as hydrolases or polysaccharide monooxygenases) and analytical chemistry methods to monitor enzyme reactions/carbohydrate modification. Other duties will include general lab management and training of students in specific research procedures.
Terms of employment
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
