This is a unique opportunity for you to influence the future business development and products within our self-service and advisory tools of Nordea Pension in Denmark. The role will report directly to the Chief Development Officer.
About this opportunity
We seek a Head of Self-Service and Advisory Tools for Nordea Pension in Denmark. In Nordea we firmly believe that together we lead the way, enabling dreams and everyday aspirations for a greater good.
As the Head of Self-Service and Advisory Tools, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of highly skilled employees, who all focuses on developing, enhancing, building and fulfilling our business strategy for our self-service and advisory tools in Nordea Pension.
You will be the person responsible for define and deliver on roadmaps in tight collaboration with our Technology and other business areas. You will be accountable and responsible for ensuring that our development within the digital area aligns with the overall business strategy and ensuring that prioritized initiatives are developed and implemented as planned.
You will be part of the “Product & Business Development” department, in which we aim to ensure that the prioritized development according to our overall strategy for Nordea Pension is fulfilled and necessary enhancements are continuously implemented following our well-established processes. We actively challenge the status quo, consistently questioning our approach while acknowledging that we don’t need to address every aspect simultaneously.

Your responsibilities will include, while not be limited to: Lead business development and enhancements of Nordea Pension’s self-service and advisory tools, including web platforms, mobile bank functionality, own developed solutions, internal portals etc. As part of the management team in Product & Business Development you will be part of and contribute to reaching out overall goals and success criteria in close collaboration with the other managers. Ensure full regulatory compliance and adhering to business guidelines. Ensure business roadmaps for self-service and advisory tools adhering to overall business strategi and implement the solutions fulfilling the strategic goals. Maintain focus on reusing, optimizing and simplifying our customer journey, including creating high customer satisfaction with our tools. Engage relevant stakeholders in the relevant parts of the development process. Manage budget, recruitment, vendor meetings, and ensure compliance within the self-service and tools domain. Ensure that the team is rightly skilled, staffed, satisfied and delivering according to Nordea standards.
The role is based in Copenhagen.

As this is a senior position with a high level of complexity, we expect you to have years of experience from similar positions and being up to date on best practice within digital and omnichannel solutions. It would be best if you have experience from Pension, that would be a plus. It is mandatory that you have experience from financial regulated industries and digital self-service financial solutions to customers.
Your experience and background: Broad and relevant experience (minimum 10 years) working on building business strategy with business development teams, creating and executing digital self-service and advisory tools roadmaps. Digitally adept and able to utilize relevant digital solutions within the organization, staying informed about digital opportunities beyond their own scope. Proficient in driving efficiency based on agile development principles and business processes in financial companies, preferably Pension related. Capability to work distributed across on-location and off-shore/near shore environments. Strong communicator that can express complicated matters in an easy and graspable way in verbal and written communication. Relevant and documented leadership experience. Self-motivated, professional, high integrity with a balanced set of values reflecting high ethics. Relevant education i.e. Bachelor's, PHD or Master’s degree. Proficiency in Danish and English, both spoken and written.
