Do you have a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology and a strong background in FPGA development? We are looking for a talented and motivated Laboratory Engineer to join our research group at DTU Electro, a world-class research and innovation laboratory.

Responsibilities and qualifications
Your overall focus will be developing FPGA hardware for LiDAR applications. Your primary tasks will be:

  • Play a key role in co-developing a next-generation LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) system with a team of experts in photonic integrated circuits, optical communications, and electronic circuit design.
  • Develop and maintain FPGA hardware specifically for LiDAR applications.
  • Design, code, simulate, debug, and verify FPGA functionality.
  • Support our research on LiDAR.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in FPGA development using hardware description languages like Verilog.
  • Proficiency in using IP cores and implementing common signal processing algorithms.
  • A strong understanding of FPGA concepts, including timing constraints, logic control, and interfaces.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to thrive in a collaborative research environment.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in LiDAR development, particularly with SPAD (Single-Photon Avalanche Diode) array detectors.
  • A passion for continuous learning and staying up to date with emerging technologies.
  • Experience in PCB design.
