Join Global Logistics, Distribution and Warehouse as our new Logistics Innovation Specialist
Do you thrive when dealing with the wicked problems of a complex supply chain? Can you work with large data sets while maintaining a holistic perspective? If you are passionate about dealing with the costs and climate ramifications of a global supply chain, then you may be our new Logistics Innovation specialist.
Welcome to Supply Chain, a key part of Global Operations
Logistics Innovation & Enablement works with a small team of logistics and warehouse professionals in the Global Logistics arm of our Supply Chain VP area. We have direct colleagues on three continents, key stakeholders on more, and will come to work closely with our global competency center in India. We develop supply chain cost and climate KPI's and work with tools to help with SC decision support. Our current focus areas are Cost of Logistics reporting, location intelligence and shipment volumetrics, and Scope 3.4 transport emissions reporting and mitigation, which have direct tie-ins to our pricing teams, network analyses, and our newly published CSRD compliant annual report, respectively.
As part of the Global Logistics team, we believe that a great culture and pragmatic team dynamics are the keys to success. We create space for both meaningful work and meaningful connections, ensuring that your work is rewarding both personally and professionally. We admire and foster courage and daring initiatives. If you thrive in a collaborative environment where insights shape real decisions, we would love to meet you and see how we can drive impactful change together

You will work in a global support function, where important stakeholders are located across regional operations teams, global centers of excellence as well as product and customer facing functions. Maintaining and fostering a holistic supply chain mindset will be crucial to your success, and strong communication and presentation skills will help you further our ambitions.
You will demonstrate a flair for the visual presentation of data and an understanding of the complex global nature of a production and distribution supply chain. The ability to translate operational and business needs into IT requirements may be key to your success.

- Development of a consolidated Novonesis Cost of Logistics report and related KPI's.
- Support commercial teams with activity-based costing input to pricing models.
- Work with scope 3.4 transport emissions and help adopt an emissions model that allows for primary data from freight suppliers.
- Participate in and collaborate with our global networks of Distribution and Warehouse experts.
- Drive Global Logistics projects on behalf of the Supply Chain department across global functions.
- Cost and climate related Supply Chain projects driven by your passion and curiosity
You will work closely with a diverse range of internal stakeholders across Global operations and the broader Novonesis organization and you will be working with subject area and technical experts in our IT, Finance, SC, Analytics, procurement, and commercial teams. You will be a bridge builder, as you bear the sustainability and global logistics torch across global operations and beyond.
To succeed you must hold:
- A Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management, Business Analytics, Sustainability, General Management & Analytics, or related fields.
- This position is open for fresh graduates, but 1-3 years of experience is an asset.
- Analytical skills in excel and experience with ERP systems and data processing tools is an asset.
- Experience with geographic data and/or data visualization programs is an asset.
- Engaging data informed storytelling and presentation skills is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English.
Additionally, we expect you to adapt to a dynamic post-merger environment where not all processes are fully aligned. You should demonstrate the ability, or at least the willingness to learn cross-cultural communication and effective engagement with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. You should possess a curious and collaborative approach, and an eagerness to explore new ideas, adopt new tools, and integrate multiple viewpoints into insights.
Knowledge of GIS systems, data visualization programs, SAP, the SBTi framework, as well as emission factors frameworks like the Greenhouse gas commission are a definite asset.
