Behind the Title

As an AI Governance Lead in the Responsible AI Team, you will ensure that Novo Nordisk remains at the forefront of good machine learning practices, with patient safety and privacy as top priorities. You will be responsible for translating legal and regulatory requirements into operational AI governance structures, ensuring the adoption of responsible AI practices across the company.

Key responsibilities include:

- Collaborating across the company to mature the AI governance framework within Novo Nordisk, ensuring compliance with AI regulations such as EU AI Actand other relevant regulations.
- Chairing the AI Governance Focus Group within Digital, Data & IT, driving discussions and decision-making on responsible AI strategies.
- Managing AI governance initiatives, ensuring policies and best practices are embedded into AI/ML projects.
- Developing and maintaining technical guidelines on responsible AI, fostering adoption across the organization.
- Contributing to Novo Nordisk's Responsible AI toolbox, curating techniques and tools for ethical AI development.
- Representing the department in focus groups, expert panels, and regulatory discussions on AI governance and compliance.

Your role will be instrumental in ensuring that AI solutions at Novo Nordisk are compliant, robust, and effective, supporting both innovation and regulatory requirements.

Which Competencies to Bring

We are looking for a strategic leader with a strong technical background in AI governance and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes. To succeed in this role, you should have:

- A Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven expertise in regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, GDPR, FDA, EMA, GxP) and the ability to translate compliance requirements into actionable governance strategies.
- A strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and their real-world implications.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience in leading workstreams, coordinating cross-functional teams, and disseminating AI governance knowledge.
- A strong interest in developing robust and effective machine learning products—experience in this area is a plus.

You are a collaborative leader, passionate about ethical AI, and eager to drive responsible AI adoption across an enterprise environment.
