Accell Group employs approximately 3000 people across 15 countries. Accell Group's bikes and related products are sold to dealers and consumers in more than 80 countries. In 2022, the company sold around 845 thousand bicycles and recorded a turnover of € 1.4 billion.

Lead and develop global P&A business
The bicycle market is a dynamic and exciting industry with all future market trends showing that it will continue to grow and develop in the coming years. New players are entering the market, online channels become increasingly important, customers expect fast and effective services, and brands, distributors, and retailers all seek to develop closer and more meaningful relationships with the consumer.

The BU Director P&A has end-2-end responsibility for all commercial activities, Logistics and Purchasing for the P&A business working in a matrix organization. Parts & Accessories covers everything that goes on a bike and related including all components, spare parts, tools etc. – approximately 200 brands in total and a multi-million Euros revenue. You report solid line to the CCO and dotted line to the Directors of Logistics and Purchasing. Your overall responsibility is to provide the basis for making the Accell Group regions shine commercially. Your daily tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Build the P&A organization from scratch with approximately 5-6 employees covering Portfolio, KAM, Warehouse / Logistics and a lead on Accell Group brand XLC Bike Parts & Accessories.
  • Fulfill the great commercial potential by providing strong execution on the strategy developed for how to increase sales.
  • Provide complexity reductions in number of SKU's and develop a more focused portfolio.
  • Ensure that Accell Group has the rights to sell key products in designated markets where the company does not have the distribution rights today.

The role is ideally based either at the Accell Group HQ in Amsterdam or in Sennfeld or Munich Germany – or for the right candidate elsewhere in Europe working remote but with extensive travel.

Experienced BU Director for international complex distribution business
You have several years of commercial experience in an international distribution company providing products to retailers in competition with other distribution companies working with consumer goods like sporting goods, apparel, fashion, consumer electronics, or other similar businesses. In addition, you have some years' experience heading a BU, division, or similar responsibility for a large region – Europe, EMEA, or global.

Furthermore, we are looking for you with the following personal traits:

  • Proactive, getting things done mentality. Hands-on. Knows what good looks like, and is not afraid of providing the necessary change management.

  • Pragmatic, people-oriented attitude to continually improve performance.
  • Confident personality and possess skills to support organizational activities.
