About the department
Product Life Cycle Management is a part of AMSAT in PS AM Novo Nordisk. The department is organised in seven teams with approx. 150 employees and is responsible for providing support to our production sites around the world.
The position is in the Biophysical Science team, which consists of 3 Specialists, 10 Scientists, 2 PhD students and a MSc student. The current analytical platform consists of a variety of biophysical techniques including but not limited to MFI, DLS, Thioflavin T fibrillation assays, Turbiscanner, SAXS, Cryo-TEM, CG-MALS and FT-IR.
The position
We offer an exciting and challenging job in a fast-paced environment, where you will be part of solving real world problems based on a fundamental understanding of physical chemistry, protein solution behaviour and production processes.
Together with the other scientists in our team, and in close collaboration with our sister team Biophysical Lab (7 Laboratory technicians and 1 laboratory intern), your focus will be on:
- Supporting production sites with biophysical knowledge and applying biophysical analyses to process related challenges.
- Take part in problem solving and thereby help develop a fundamental understanding of our injectable products with regards to manufacturing processes which will serve as input for future challenges experienced in production.
- Contribute to maintenance and improvement of the analytical platform used in the team to ensure the most efficient and scientifically sound support to the production sites.
Qualifications
- You hold a MSc, within a relevant scientific discipline such as biophysics, soft matter physics, physical chemistry, bio- or nano engineering, crystallography or similar.
- Knowledge about protein solution behavior and stability is expected.
- You are familiar with some of the characterization methods such as MFI, ThT fibrillation assay, Turbiscanner and/or scattering techniques such as DLS, SLS and SAXS, as well as the underlying physical principles.
- If you have experience with applying biophysical analyses to process-related challenges, this is considered an advantage.
- You are expected to be fluent in written and spoken English.
