You will be an essential part of leading this strategic journey, collaborating with our stakeholders to understand the company's needs and help us create solutions that support our sustainability and growth agenda.

How you will make an impact
As a Product Owner for the commercial business, you will work closely with the Commercial IT Agile program, which is focused on delivering IT enabled business transformation to our Sales, Marketing and Service functions in the European markets and external partners.

We are mainly utilizing off-the-shelf products from vendors like Salesforce, SAP, Optimizely, CommerceIQ, Telus, etc. You will take the product ownership for products in their entire product lifecycle in Arla Foods.

In the role as Product Owner, you will represent the business in front of your team. Your job is to secure the quality and speed of the business solutions delivered. To do so, you continuously align with your business stakeholders, mainly your Business Owner and your stakeholders in the markets.

Key activities:

  1. Collaborating with the Business Owner, Product Manager, market stakeholders and other stakeholders - including other product owners - to define and prioritize your team's features, feeding into the product vision
  2. Maintain a deep understanding of current and future needs of our stakeholders
  3. Gather requirements and capture as user stories that can be executed
  4. Prioritizing the team backlog (deliverables) and streamlining the execution of program priorities
  5. Helping your team succeed, facilitating the insights needed to make the right solutions and conducting workshops to come up with the best ideas
  6. Be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of your product, collaborate with the Business Change Manager on product launch communication, training, enablement and ongoing product adoption/development tactics

For this role, you can be based in any of our offices in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany or the Netherlands. You should expect approximately 10-20 travel days yearly to Northern European markets. If not based in Denmark, however, we expect that you, on top of that, are able to regularly travel to Denmark.

What will make you successful
As a Product Owner, you are expected to be able to make decisions, stand by them and explain why they are right. This job is to a great extent about prioritizing, collaborating with partners outside your team to understand the business needs and issues and being able to identify the solutions with the biggest value. Thus, your force is to consider which solution has the biggest business impact and requires the least effort, is it possible, and how do I communicate this to others so that they also see that the solutions are great?

Moreover, we expect you to have:

  1. Experience from commercial projects, having previously taken a role in delivering them across functions or countries
  2. Proven experience of working effectively with diverse stakeholders, being an excellent communicator, negotiator and problem solver
  3. The ability to be able to take a leadership role in decision making for your team and product
  4. 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, a leading role or in a commercial business role with a digital/superuser angle
  5. Be comfortable working with distributed teams across multiple time zones and cultures
