Architectural Technology Assistant

JOIN BIG AS AN ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT

If you are ready to join the next wave of form givers and contribute to boundary breaking and trendsetting Architectural projects then this is your opportunity. If you are competent, compelling, curious and most importantly willing to break conventions then Bjarke Ingles Group is looking for you.

We are currently searching for Architectural Technologist assistants to start their internship in either the fall or spring semester. NB: Please only apply if you are able to start in either the fall or spring semester and your internship can run for a minimum of 6 months.

Requirements:
  1. Have at least 2 years of architectural school behind you.
  2. Have knowledge and experience with Revit (AutoCAD is a bonus).
  3. Have a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working.
  4. Be able to work under pressure together with the team.
  5. Are open-minded to new materials and ways of developing details and solutions.
  6. See complex architecture as a way of developing skills within detailing and constructability.
  7. Have a knowledge and interest in the technical aspects of a building.
  8. Have interest in BIM and related software.
  9. Be able to take initiative in response to direction or instruction.
  10. Have great interpersonal communication skills.
  11. Be fluent in English.
  12. Be a current student.
  13. Graduates (master level) cannot be considered as interns in regards to the Danish legislation. We will follow up on your educational status and you will have to sign a declaration prior to your start.
  14. Be able to have your Internship with BIG running for at least 6 months, Non-EU citizens are required to stay minimum 12 months.
As an Architectural Technologist Assistant you will get to:
  1. Be involved in one of our international or Danish projects.
  2. Help solve building interfaces based on architect’s sketches and contribute to project principles and building technology together with a team of dedicated and experienced colleagues.
  3. Focus and learn structure and modeling principles in the BIM models, learn office standards, participation in meetings with external consultants etc.
  4. Develop and expand your knowledge and skills on complex BIM projects.
  5. Assist in BIM efforts on multiple projects.
  6. Participate in BIG Schools where you can interact and learn from our studios’ experts in a variety of skills and fields from different programs to topics like sustainability, project development, build regulations.
  7. Be part of the BIG experience.
  8. Participate in construction site visits.
