What will you do?

As our new Decarbonization Project Manager, you will be responsible for the daily execution of the decarbonization efforts across our fleet, contributing to Cadeler's journey towards achieving net zero emissions from our operations by 2035.

Your main tasks include:

  1. Drive the implementation of decarbonization projects, including retrofits and green fuel adoption, to improve vessel efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
  2. Measure and analyze fuel and energy data to identify and implement actionable efficiency improvements, including establishing KPIs and monitoring progress.
  3. Manage the decarbonization solutions portfolio, evaluate and recommend new solutions technologies considering all aspects of the business case, and lead pilot testing and feasibility studies.
  4. Collaborate across technical, operational, and commercial teams to embed sustainable practices and align with decarbonization goals.
  5. Ensure compliance with class authorities and manage approvals and certification required. Stay abreast of regulatory changes from IMO and EU (MRV, DCS, FuelEU, EU ETS, etc.).
  6. Prepare and present decarbonization progress reports and proposals to stakeholders, including executive management and external partners.

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven profile, who has a background in engineering, a deep understanding of decarbonization technologies, and proven expertise in project management and cross-functional collaboration within the offshore energy or maritime industry. We think you will be a good match if you:

  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (electrical or mechanical engineering, sustainable energy systems, etc.).
  2. 5-8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within offshore energy or shipping, with a demonstrated track record of implementing decarbonization solutions.
  3. Experience with project management.
  4. Strong analytical skills, curiosity and open mind to solve challenges and cross-collaboration.
  5. Good understanding of retrofits, energy management systems, green fuels, regulatory compliance, and proficiency in data analysis and energy reporting.
