We are looking for a structured and organized administrative employee to support Maritime DTU for two years. Maritime DTU is placed at DTU Management.

The job
Maritime DTU is the point of contact for cross-cutting collaboration between DTU and external parties, including businesses, authorities, and other universities. In addition, Maritime DTU is represented in relevant maritime steering groups and partnerships.

The aim of the centre is to:

  • Strengthen the collaboration with the Danish maritime cluster The Blue Denmark on research and education
  • Coordinate and facilitate business-oriented, interdisciplinary research
  • Ensure training of several maritime engineers with broad skill sets
  • Strengthen research collaboration with other universities, nationally and internationally

Responsibilities
As part of Maritime DTU, you will collaborate closely with other employees of the centre, across DTU and with other stakeholders.

You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Carrying out administrative tasks in relation to the centre, this could be:
    • Conducting administrative tasks such as organizing meetings, preparing presentations, taking minutes, etc.
    • Collecting information for reporting to funds, steering groups etc.
    • Planning and executing maritime conferences, workshops, and events together with the head of the centre
    • Updating the Maritime DTU webpage and knowledge center
    • Promoting Maritime DTU activities via our social media etc.
  • Supporting the creation and development of relevant research proposals and cross-disciplinary projects.
  • Promoting collaboration with the Danish maritime research community and other stakeholders in the Danish maritime cluster including the maritime industry organizations, Danish Maritime Authority, and maritime NGOs etc.
  • Supporting the head of the secretariat with the future development of the Maritime DTU.

You might have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant academic field.

If you have knowledge about and experience working with the maritime research and/or business community it is an advantage – but we expect you to grow your skill set as part of your job here.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement either with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) or OAO-S Joint Agreement and the organization agreement for Office Clerks, Laboratory Technicians and IT staff (HK/stat). The position is to be filled as soon as possible.

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus, at Maritime DTU placed at DTU Management.
