Senior Finance Manager

Investigo are partnered with an international hospitality business who are looking for a finance program manager. The role is based in Denmark but will include travel to Germany and Italy.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision
  • Drive the simplification and optimisation of the ERP landscape, including Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
  • Ensure transformation initiatives support long-term business goals and enhance finance's role as a strategic business partner.
  • Input into the design of the finance operating model
Program & Project Management
  • Lead the planning and execution of the Finance ERP transition, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met
  • Coordinate with the ERP project team, external vendors, and internal finance teams to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption
  • Actively manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) to minimise their impact on the program.
  • Oversee the global rollout of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
Data Migration and Integration
  • Oversee the migration of financial data from legacy systems into the new ERP system, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
  • Validate and test data migration results, troubleshoot issues, and ensure all required reports and records are available in the new system.
  • Work with IT teams to ensure system compatibility and integration with other business systems
Change Management
  • Lead change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes within the finance function.
  • Develop communication plans to ensure transparency and understanding throughout the transformation process.
  • Identify and mitigate resistance to change, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and support to teams to ensure smooth transitions to new technologies and ways of working.
Training and Support
  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for finance and accounting teams to ensure effective use of the new ERP system.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for users post-implementation, ensuring a smooth transition period.
  • Ensure that users are confident in operating the new system and can leverage its features to enhance financial operations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
  • Act as a trusted business partner to senior leadership, ensuring alignment of transformation initiatives with overall business strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, finance leaders, and IT teams.
  • Collaborate with external implementation partners and vendors, ensuring alignment with the transformation goals.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders, ensuring clear and transparent communication.
  • Identify potential risks and issues throughout the program and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all governance frameworks, including risk management processes, are adhered to.
  • Actively manage dependencies and interdependencies across multiple workstreams to avoid delays or disruptions.
  • Provide proactive solutions to resolve issues and keep the program on track.
  • Lead the development of metrics and KPIs to assess the success of transformation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and workflows during the ERP transition.
  • Work with finance teams to define new procedures and reporting structures within the new ERP system.
  • Ensure that the new system complies with financial regulations and best practices.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Extensive experience leading large-scale finance ERP transition programs, ideally within a global organisation.
  • Proven expertise in ERP system implementation and optimisation, particularly with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
  • Strong background in finance operations and business partnering, with a track record of driving process improvements.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership across business units.
  • A solid understanding of financial reporting, planning and forecasting, with the ability to enhance these processes through system and operational improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, with a focus on risk management, change management, and successful delivery.
  • Experience in managing relationships with external vendors and third-party partners.
  • Relevant qualifications in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of global finance regulations and compliance standards.
