Product Owner

Then you might be our next Product Owner for Content Management and AI.

We're looking for a temporary Product Owner (PO) to lead the development of our Content Management System and its AI-driven capabilities while covering a maternity leave from April 1, 2025, to February 1, 2026.

As Product Owner, you will focus on the "how"—ensuring the best user experience, designing efficient editorial workflows, and working with development teams to bring innovative AI-powered tools to life. You will work closely with Product Managers (PMs), who define the market problems and commercial priorities, and ensure these are translated into clear, actionable development plans.

Together with developers, UX designers, and AI specialists, you will drive feature execution through our seasonal Product Increment (PI) process, ensuring that AI enhances the work of journalists and editors.

You will report to the SVP Product Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Product Managers (PMs) to translate market needs and commercial priorities into well-defined user journeys and technical solutions.
  • Ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience, leveraging AI where it adds the most value to journalists and content teams.
  • Ensure alignment across teams, acting as the bridge between PMs, who define the "what" and developers, who build the "how".
  • Collaborate with developers, UX designers, and AI specialists to determine the best implementation path for AI-driven features such as automated tagging, content recommendations, and AI-assisted writing tools.
  • Plan and oversee the execution of features in alignment with the trimestral Product Increment (PI), working closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Gather and analyze user feedback to continuously refine our Content Management System and AI functionalities, ensuring real newsroom challenges are solved effectively.
  • Communicate product updates to internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth adoption of new features.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, ideally in content management, publishing, or newsroom technology.
  • Experience working with AI-powered editorial tools.
  • Experience working with global teams and partners in a cross-functional environment.
  • Familiarity with agile and SAFE methodologies and experience in backlog management.
  • Familiarity with Pragmatic Marketing is a plus.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on user experience and system design.
  • Ability to translate market problems into actionable development plans.
  • Ability to collaborate with developers, UX designers, and PMs to create the best possible solution.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to balance stakeholder needs with technical feasibility.
  • Ability to work with Jira or similar backlog management tools.
