AT GLOBAL FASHION AGENDA & GLOBAL FASHION SUMMIT

Global Fashion Agenda is looking for an enthusiastic and structured intern to support its GFA Academy team. The paid internship begins in February 2024 and lasts five months (flexible to accommodate the feasibility of higher education institutions). The internship will take place at the GFA office in Copenhagen.

As an organisation founded and headquartered in Denmark, our internship policy aligns with the Danish policy whereby students receive ECTS points when carrying out an internship as part of their studies to support their development while they continue to be covered by a Danish study grant during their internship. As such, GFA interns gain an acknowledgement of a maximum of 3,000 DKK per month of the internship , which they receive at the end of the internship period. While we welcome internship applications from outside of Denmark, the gratuity remains consistent with Danish policy.

As a GFA Academy Assistant (intern) at Global Fashion Agenda, you will be an essential part of the GFA Academy team, contributing to our mission to provide guidance, resources and educational support to industry stakeholders. Through our educational platforms, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of sustainability and the practical tools necessary for industry-wide transformation. In collaboration with key partners, we develop initiatives that drive impactful change by making the latest knowledge accessible and actionable.

As a GFA Academy Assistant (intern), you will be trusted with areas across the planning and execution of our education and development programmes.

  • A strong knowledge base in sustainability issues within the fashion sector, with an awareness of emerging trends and solutions
  • An interest in sustainability education, including the ability to distill complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Research experience with an analytical approach to synthesizing information
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Fluency in English, especially in written communication
  • Professionalism and diplomacy in engaging with external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management tools is a plus.

  • Passionate about the fashion industry and sustainability and educating wider audiences hereof.
  • Studying at a higher education institution on Bachelor or Master’s level
Assignments
  • Assist in the planning and execution of GFA Academy projects as part of GFA´s educational strategy, including preparations for Global Fashion Summit 2025.
  • Support in researching and execution of diverse learning resources, such as Masterclasses
  • Track developments in educational initiatives aligned with GFA’s Fashion CEO Agenda priorities.
  • Assist with research and coordination of new education projects
  • Assists the GFA Academy & Partnership team with ad hoc tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and compiling reports
  • Collaborate with other GFA interns and student workers on office and cross-functional tasks.
