We work with some of the world’s best game publishers and brands to elevate their properties into amazing esports experiences. We are currently working with world-leading game publishers Epic Games, Valve and Ubisoft to produce, market and deliver esports for popular titles Rocket League, Fortnite, Rainbow Six and Counter-Strike 2.
Role Overview
We are looking for a PR Executive/Senior PR Executive with ideally 2-3 years of experience in PR and communications to support our mission of growing BLAST’s profile globally. Ideally, you will have experience or an interest working within sports, entertainment, esports, or gaming industries, with a bonus for those who have collaborated with game publishers.
This is a fixed-term 12-month hybrid role, requiring a mix of remote work and in-person attendance at BLAST’s London office in Leicester Square. You will also be required to travel to our global esports across the year.
You will play a key role in implementing PR campaigns, generating media coverage, working with our global game publishers and supporting BLAST’s major esports arena events. This is a varied and fast-paced role, working with all departments across BLAST and a variety of external stakeholders such as players, teams, sponsors, influencers and press.
Minimum Requirements
- 2-3 years experience in PR, communications and marketing or similar experience, ideally within sports, entertainment, gaming, or esports industries.
- Strong media relations skills with an existing network of relevant journalists, influencers, or contacts (preferred but not essential).
- Experience working with or supporting game publishers is a strong advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in drafting press materials.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
- A passion for sports, gaming, and live entertainment.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Media Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with key media, influencers, and stakeholders across gaming, esports, sports, and entertainment.
- Campaign Support: Support the development and execution of PR campaigns that drive awareness, excitement, and coverage for BLAST events, shows, and initiatives.
- Content Development: Draft and distribute press materials including press releases, briefing documents, pitches, and Q&A notes.
- Event Support: Assist in coordinating on-site PR activities, including media interviews, press conferences, and post-event coverage.
- Storytelling: Help craft creative storylines and ideas that resonate with media and fans to showcase BLAST, our events, and esports as a whole.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track media coverage and measure the success of PR campaigns, providing clear insights and reporting.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams, game publishers, teams, players and partners to ensure effective messaging and alignment.
