Hybrid

Do you want to be a central figure in strengthening our market share, turnover, profitability, and technical development? Can you act as a liaison between our Indian and Scandinavian offices, participate in Scan-Indian design projects, and mentor colleagues in engineering design tools, structural documentation and Autodesk Revit? And are you an experienced, proactive team player fluent in Danish and English? Then, join our team of Indian design engineers and BIM modellers today

Shape a future where people and societies grow and flourish
To strengthen our collaborative efforts and maintain high-quality standards in the Scandinavian building industry, we are looking for an open-minded and internationally-oriented engineer to join our team.

You will report to our Head of Section at the vibrant Chennai office for a two-year secondment where we already have 6 Danish and Norwegian engineers collaborating on exciting projects.

Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.
The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways, but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that, you will:

  • Hold a degree in structural engineering (B.Sc or M.Sc) with 2-10 years of relevant experience
  • Be skilled in designing structures and preparing structural documentation per SBi-anvisning 271 and BR18
  • Have experience with Autodesk Revit
  • Be fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
  • Possess the ability to mentor and collaborate with Indian colleagues, understanding and leveraging cultural differences
  • Be a strong, proactive, ambitious, and adaptable team player with great conflict resolution skills, who can also thrive in dynamic environments with deadlines

A place to work and so much more
At COWI, we work together with our customers to shape a sustainable and liveable world. We do it by applying our knowledge and curiosity – and sometimes even our courage – to create the solutions the world needs today to enable a better tomorrow.

With offices primarily located in the Nordic region, the UK, North America and India, we are currently more than 8,000 people who bring their expertise in engineering, architecture, energy and environment into play.

What we offer?
You will start with a six-month period in Denmark to learn our project execution methods. After this, you will embark on a two-year assignment at COWI India in our Chennai office, where you will receive comprehensive support for all aspects of your relocation. Once your assignment in Chennai is complete, you will return to one of our offices in Denmark to continue your career development.

In this role, you will enjoy a challenging job with significant freedom in a dynamic, international work environment, including:

  • Collaborative opportunities with talented colleagues
  • Attractive employment conditions
  • Competitive salary based on your qualifications
  • An exceptional cultural experience
