OSS HV Commissioning Engineer

Our client is looking for an OSS HV Commissioning Engineer to join their team and be responsible for overseeing the HV Commissioning of the OSS Substations Electrical fit out, Harbour works, offshore works.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Represent our client at the OSS Fabrication Yard in Aalborg
  2. Act as a role model for high standards of work & safety
  3. Ensure adherence to project Safety Rules
  4. Supervise installation and commissioning of HV components of the OSS platforms
  5. Supervise commissioning of protection and SCADA systems of the OSS Platforms
  6. Confirm completion of key milestones, SAT, Mechanical Completion etc.
  7. Coordinate interfaces to third party equipment
  8. Monitor and report on progress
  9. Be permanently based at the preassembly yard to monitor and witness all HV/Cable works
  10. Participate in witnessing yard activities and testing
  11. Review ITPs and procedures from Supplier
  12. Check if installation and commissioning procedures are following ITPs
  13. Proactively report on deviations
  14. Report on progress daily and weekly to the OSS Commissioning Manager
  15. Supervise and facilitate third party interfaces
  16. Perform Employer interface testing as required
  17. Contribute actively to evaluation of the project progress and propose mitigation measures early when issues arise
  18. Ensure commissioning activities are correctly documented
  19. Ensure compliance with specifications and engineering standards
  20. Provide a forecast of upcoming activities to the commissioning team highlighting important milestones
  21. Coordinate site commissioning meetings with CON
  22. Manage effectively NCRs, punch closing activities
  23. Participate in wider project meetings as required by OSS Commissioning Manager
  24. Provide on-job training to O&M resources
  25. Actively participate in rollout of Wind Electrical Safety Rules
  26. Coordinate third-party activities on the OSS
  27. Support the engineering team with provision of testing certificates required for TSO approvals
  28. Consult with the engineering team in Technical Queries
  29. Support the overall project commissioning

Key Deliverables

  1. Comment sheets leading to final specifications and designs
  2. FAT, HAT and SAT reports
  3. Commissioning reports for packages and/or systems and subsystems
  4. Weekly reports
  5. SNAG list
  6. NCR list
  7. Input to Programme
  8. Input to offshore commissioning schedules

Requirements

  1. 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
  2. Experience with HV Systems, SCADA and Protection Commissioning, HV Cables
