Job Description

You will join as Head of Technical Programme Management (TPM) in the leadership team in Corporate Products Technology (CPT), reporting to the VP who is head of CPT.

Within CPT, we have a variety of product teams developing and supporting technology and digital experiences for people processes, finance processes, procurement, service management, building operations, facilities management, etc. In these product teams we have a mix of software engineers – most primarily do configuration (low-code/no-code) often using SaaS solutions, while other engineers mainly program. Most product teams have engineers of both types.

These product teams are supported by three enabling teams: Design, Agile Coaching, and Technical Programme Management (TPM).

*No relocation assistance is offered for this position.*

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead a portfolio of multiple programmes with significant size and complexity.
  • Accountable that digital programme roadmaps are met in programmes within your portfolio, and where needed ensure product leaders have set appropriate visions and clarity to enable their associated programmes to be successful.
  • Accountable that programme objectives are met and delivered.
  • Especially support the TPM team on our SAP migration from ECC to S4Hana.
Play your part in our team succeeding

The Head of TPM leads a team of programme managers responsible for driving transformational initiatives spanning multiple product teams, domains and/or user groups. The programme managers drive strategic objectives by overseeing the flow of value across product teams. This is accomplished by fostering collaboration and driving programme execution through informal leadership and appropriate governance frameworks. The programme managers ensure the success of programmes, by owning all aspects of programme planning, administration and coordination across product teams including choosing/tailoring the appropriate framework and/or tools for execution. The ability to optimally run and navigate in both traditional waterfall techniques and more modern agile practices is essential.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Strong leadership: Passion for, and ability to, lead both people and technology. You must enjoy and be good at working with other people, e.g., listening, mentoring, giving feedback, and asking good questions. Ability to influence partners. Strong collaborator and a true teammate.
  • Digital experience: Proficient in product team ways of working. Strong delivery and execution approach. Understands agile development and the application of agile techniques and delivery practices. Promotes adoption of agile methodologies to secure determined mentalities. Understands that agile is not always the best method, and leverages more traditional waterfall approaches as and when appropriate.
  • Technical experience: Successfully has delivered multiple full life cycle $MM programmes, including SAP upgrades and migrations.
  • Some examples of technical knowledge we would also appreciate to see are Project, programme, and portfolio management body of knowledge Waterfall approaches Agile approaches. An authority in programme delivery (including setting up and handling various delivery cadences such as programme increment planning).
