The role

We are developing the development and construction of offshore wind and Power-to-X (PtX) projects worldwide. As we enter a stage of high growth, we are building a deeply motivated, diverse, and skilled team focused to positively impact the planet.

We seek a Procurement Director to direct and be responsible for all procurement-related initiatives on our PtX project Fjord in Denmark.

Responsibilities will further consist of:

  1. Manage Procurement Activities: Oversee procurement strategies and schedules across all project packages to ensure timelines are met.
  2. Lead Contract Negotiations: Negotiate large CAPEX, strategic supply, and development contracts, liaising with legal experts and subject matter authorities.
  3. Develop Procurement Strategies: Create and implement procurement and contract management strategies to support project outcomes and financing.
  4. Oversee O&M Contracts: Ensure efficient management of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contracts in alignment with project goals.
  5. Build and Mentor Teams: Develop and inspire a skilled team of procurement and contract managers to foster professional quality.
  6. Enhance Supplier Relations: Cultivate key relationships with key suppliers to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

You

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  1. A degree in commercial law, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
  2. Significant experience in supply chain development within large-scale projects, primarily in offshore wind, refineries, oil & gas, or similar industries.
  3. Proven leadership skills with a proven ability to develop and inspire a diverse team of procurement professionals.

In addition to these qualifications, the ideal candidate will have:

  1. Experience in international EPC contracts, reflecting the global nature of our supply chain.
  2. Familiarity with project financing requirements and engagement with Export Credit Agencies (ECA) is a favorable asset.
  3. Effective negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders.

You should also be a strategic thinker with market-specific business insight who is capable of understanding value and risk drivers in large projects. A clear, pragmatic attitude and a willingness to achieve goals are essential. Moreover, you are a highly responsible and motivated individual who thrives in a highly effective and innovative environment.
