To expand our capabilities in addressing climate challenges, we are seeking a Carbon Capture Technical Director to join our Renewables & Green Fuels team.
Working closely with multidisciplinary experts and reporting to Head of Engineering, Lars Mogensen, you will contribute significantly to delivering innovative carbon capture solutions.
We are a diverse team of 100 professionals collaborating with customers on some of the most significant and innovative energy and sustainability projects in Denmark. Notably, we have contributed to transformative initiatives such as CO2 capture at Ørsted’s Power Plant, Avedøreværket, and CO2 capture at Lisbjerg Power Plant, Aarhus, reflecting our high standards and sustainability.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the planning, implementation, and delivery of significant engineering projects with multiple solution scenarios that require up-to-date technical/innovative capabilities within Carbon Capture.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative carbon capture projects and act as center of knowledge.
- Building trusting relationships with clients, industry partners, universities, and other regulatory authorities and participate in drafting bids and bid submissions.
- Continue positioning COWI as a thought leader by participating in conferences, seminars, and webinars.
Your skills and expertise
To excel in this role, you thrive on collaboration, deliver on your responsibilities, and are motivated to encourage continuous improvement. You also have:
- A degree in process/chemical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in carbon capture or related fields within the energy sector.
- A solid technical knowledge in carbon capture technologies and their applications.
- Preferably 10+ years of experience most likely from consultancy.
- Experience with managing complex technical projects.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels.
