The role is available as the current leader is moving internally to another position abroad - and hence he will be able to fully handover the role and provide ongoing guidance in the future.

Building long term partnerships with best-in-class on-site support
At BEUMER Group we provide intralogistics solutions as a lifetime partner. You will join Customer Support where you will lead our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Centre of Competence (CoC) within Airports and Logistics, providing strategic leadership to the whole O&M network globally. In O&M, we are responsible for maintaining and operating the customer's baggage/material handling system, which means that our people work on-site in operations & maintenance leams.

As Director of Global O&M Partnership Programs, you will manage the area and a small expert team. Together you are responsible for supporting the on-site teams and the service they provide to our customers. Moreover, you also participate in new sales activities, which means that you and your team are leading the O&M part related to selling and setting up baggage/material handling systems in its entirety - from quotation, execution and ramp-up to handling the subsequent support post go-live.

The on-site teams we guide and support currently make up for approximately 2000 employees spread on all continents" says the current leader of Global O&M Partner Programs.

Join us to set the direction for future O&M offerings
Heading this area, you will be responsible for the strategic direction of current and future O&M contracts within the Global Airport and Logistics area. Likewise, you will guide and support the O&M community – i.e. the on-site teams in any matters related to O&M, whilst sharing best practices within the organisation.
Doing so, you will work closely with colleagues throughout BEUMER Group e.g. in Business Development Software Solutions, Engineering, Sales, Data Analytics and many others to ensure that we can support our on-site colleagues and Sales teams in the best way possible.

More specifically, you will:

  • Ensure the implementation of a clear strategy for your area including further development of our O&M offerings to support the current Company strategy
  • Ensure that the on-site teams provide the agreed service to our customers - ensure customer satisfaction and BEUMER quality standard to O&M customers
  • Ensure leadership in new sales activities collaborating closely with local Sales teams as well as new unit sales teams assisting with proposals, calculations, sales documents, marketing material, negotiations and more
  • Develop and enhance the skills and capabilities of your team
  • Ensure proactive management of the future pipeline, O&M quotations, and contract renewals, supporting the achievement of the forecasted order intake
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the O&M community globally

As this is a global role, with colleagues and customers situated worldwide, you will benefit from flexible working hours and get to travel approximately 30-50 days per year, depending on business needs and pipeline of opportunities.

Experience with operational management and a solid business and customer mindset
As you will manage responsibilities across the entire lifecycle you will need to have a strong commercial and contractual understanding. You will also need to know your way around a multicultural environment, be able to manage stakeholders and communicate clearly and concisely. Also, you are adaptable, assertive, proactive, and a strategic thinker with excellent collaboration skills. Above and beyond you have a Customer Support attitude, a solid customer O&M understanding and ability to build long term partnerships.

Moreover you:

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, as this role depends on building and maintaining relationships, internally and externally, across different organizational levels
  • Preferably have a Master's degree or MBA ideally in engineering, operations management, or a related field
  • Have experience managing and developing a team
  • Have hands-on experience with contract management and strategy implementation
  • Have experience managing O&M teams and customers as well as with dealing with critical systems/products and continuous improvement of assets
  • Know how to review and challenge complex contracts and tenders
  • Speak and write English effortlessly
