About the role

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Maintenance Program Manager to join our Global Asset Reliability and Maintenance team. The MHE Maintenance Program Manager will provide expert guidance on the maintenance and optimization of MHE, including but not limited to forklifts, reach stackers, hand pallet trucks, and AGVs.

This role involves developing global MHE standards, governance, and performance management practices involving regional maintenance organizations and embedding strategic maintenance KPIs within regional performance management rhythms. Additionally, the MHE Maintenance Program Manager will develop and support a change management plan to enable the deployment of new standards. This role requires deep expertise in MHE and a strong ability to influence and advise across multiple departments and regions to ensure the effective use and management of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of MHE through analysis of current material handling systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation on equipment maintenance strategies, maintenance procedures, and best practices to ensure that the equipment complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop global MHE governance and performance management practices involving regional maintenance organizations.
  • Develop strategic Reliability & Maintenance KPIs to monitor global MHE performance.
  • Develop and support a change management plan enabling the deployment of new standards.
  • Lead and manage projects related to material handling equipment lifecycle, ensuring cost optimization, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for staff on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of material handling equipment.
  • Work closely with equipment vendors and suppliers to ensure the acquisition of suitable equipment and effective resolution of any issues.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technological advancements in material handling equipment to recommend innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience. Advanced certifications or professional qualifications are a plus.
  • Multi-year experience in material handling equipment, with a proven track record of successfully developing global MHE standards and governance across multiple countries.

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of material handling systems and equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Track record of successfully leading and managing large-scale change-management projects from inception to completion.
  • Proven expertise in stakeholder management at all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with complex matrix organizations.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs and standards.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS software.
