Assistant Category Manager

Maersk Group - A.P. Møller Mærsk is seeking a talented and ambitious Assistant Category Manager to join our Indirect Category Management Travel team. As a key member of our global procurement team, you will play a vital role in procuring travel categories, driving cost savings, and delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize travel spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Create and maintain dashboards to provide insights and visibility to internal stakeholders and Maersk leadership.
- Collaborate with global category managers to drive strategic decision-making and execute tenders and projects.
- Provide exceptional service to internal stakeholders, responding to operational requests and ensuring seamless travel activities.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Ability to analyze complex data, develop innovative insights, and drive actionable results.
- Excellent written, oral, and formal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong influence and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI, with a willingness to develop and deliver clear written messages.
- Strong professional interest in the travel industry, with experience in the airline, hotel, or travel management company sectors an advantage.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, adaptability, and a global mindset.
- Service-minded and comfortable communicating with diverse cultures and levels of the organization.
