Assistant Category Manager for Facilities Management

Maersk Corporate Real Estate is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Category Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Indirect Procurement team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our category strategies for facilities management.
About the RoleAs Assistant Category Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Category Managers in developing and executing our category strategies. This will involve working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, as well as developing and implementing tenders and contracts with suppliers.
You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with existing suppliers, as well as identifying and onboarding new suppliers to meet the needs of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Category Managers in developing and executing category strategies
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Develop and implement tenders and contracts with suppliers
- Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers
- Identify and onboard new suppliers to meet business needs
- Ensure compliance with established purchasing policies and procedures
- Assist in the resolution of contractual issues and disputes
- Manage internal and external procurement reporting requirements
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced procurement professional who has a strong understanding of category management and strategic sourcing. The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant qualification in procurement, business, or commercial
- Minimum three years' experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably in facilities management
- Proven experience in contractor management, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management
- Experience working for a multi-national organization
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially in PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong result-oriented and solution-focused approach, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Emphasis on ethics, stakeholder management, and commitment to ESG principles
- Fluent in written and spoken English
