Assistant Category Manager for Facilities Management

Maersk Corporate Real Estate is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Category Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Indirect Procurement team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our Facilities Management category strategy.
About the RoleAs Assistant Category Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Category Managers in developing and executing our category strategies. This will involve working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, as well as managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development of the Facilities Management category strategy and implementation plan
- Support the planning and execution of tenders, including negotiation and implementation with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Develop and build relationships with existing suppliers and create relationships with new suppliers
- Ensure compliance with established purchasing policies and procedures
- Assist in the resolution of contractual issues and disputes
- Manage all internal and external procurement reporting requirements
- Build data-driven insights for proactive facility management
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in procurement and category management. The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant qualification in procurement, business, or commercial
- Minimum three years' experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably with facilities management procurement
- Proven experience in contractor management, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management
- Experience working for a multi-national organization
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially in PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong result-oriented and solution-focused approach, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Emphasis on ethics, stakeholder management, and commitment to ESG principles
- Fluent in written and spoken English
