As a member of our team, you will work at the forefront of science, providing guidance and solutions to major societal challenges related to climate change, circularity, sustainability, and environmental quality. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative environment, working with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and supervise BSc and MSc student projects, and be a supervisor for PhD students covering a broad range of water monitoring related topics.
  • Perform research at an international level on the use of cost-effective monitoring technologies for environmental monitoring and modelling.
  • Develop new monitoring approaches based on the application of newly developed sensing technologies to various water matrices and water usage problems in combination with modeling tools or methods (laboratory, field).
  • Contribute to research and funding acquisition within the section, with colleagues from other sections in the department and beyond.
  • Lead and contribute to innovation activities in collaboration with SMEs and/or DTU's startup accelerator program (DTU Skylab).

Requirements:

  • PhD degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, such as environmental engineering, electrical engineering, quantitative hydrology, earth sciences, or data science.
  • Strong Danish and/or international platform, with experience in teaching and research.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
