The IT Application Manager position at SVENDBORG BRAKES ApS is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the implementation, governance, and support of core applications. With a strong focus on analysis, planning, organization, and team leadership, this role will play a critical part in ensuring the effective management of risk, workload, scope, capacity, schedule, and budget.

This position requires close collaboration with project sponsors, business and technical partners, subject matter experts, end users, technical resources, senior management, and executives to deliver and support applications that meet the needs of business users and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing an application portfolio and associated projects
  • Leading the transition to a new ERP system, including scope definition, project management, and team oversight
  • Identifying opportunities for application optimization, redesign, or process improvement, particularly in collaboration systems and internal tools
  • Partnering with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT management to develop a strategic vision for new and supported applications and create system roadmaps and business processes
  • Addressing stakeholder needs, concerns, and expectations in project planning and execution, meeting project requirements, and creating project deliverables
  • Balancing competing project constraints, including scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risks, to accommodate user and customer needs
  • BUILDING A STRONG TECHNICAL CULTURE around our business systems, emphasizing technical excellence, rapid iteration, strong security, and frictionless user experiences
  • Managing application maintenance outsourcing and software contract agreements, implementing and monitoring standards around scope management, economic management, service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring compliance to mitigate risk, increase service/business impact, and reduce costs

Requirements for success in this position include:

  • Experience in Application Management or a similar role
  • Deep experience with application implementations, enhancements, and integrations
  • Experience managing ticketing, CRM, ERP systems (Axapta) is advantageous
  • Effective communication skills to explain system changes and functionality to all employees
  • Experience setting up ongoing procedures for collection and review of project statuses and goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good people skills and a positive attitude
  • Able to set actions into motion while respecting time schedules and specifications
