Quantum Computing Expert in Copenhagen

The University of Copenhagen's Quantum Computing Programme is seeking a Senior Quantum Engineer to join its Spin Qubit Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge quantum hardware and drive research innovations in the field of quantum computing.
As a Senior Quantum Engineer, you will oversee the design and development of cryogenics and measurement setups for qubit control and characterization. You will also lead daily supervision and mentorship of junior group members, contributing to creating a collaborative and inclusive research environment.
The ideal candidate has a PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or related fields, with a proven record of designing, developing, and controlling qubits in solid state systems. You should have experience using dc and high-frequency electronics, as well as data acquisition software and programming skills in Python.
In this role, you will coordinate with cross-functional teams across the programme, envision solutions to wiring bottleneck and control challenges in solid state quantum computing systems, and maintain software architecture for data acquisition and precise qubit control.
The successful candidate will be part of a talented and diverse international team, working towards establishing a world-class research group and developing state-of-the-art infrastructure.
We offer a competitive salary, estimated at around DKK 600,000 - 900,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as free universal healthcare and paid parental leave.
