Leadership Opportunity: Head of Quantum DTU Center

DTU, the Technical University of Denmark, is seeking a strong profile to coordinate, develop, and represent its interests and efforts in the emerging field of quantum technology. The successful candidate will play a key role in realizing the potential of this revolutionary technology.

The position involves leading our cross-disciplinary Center for Quantum Technologies (Quantum DTU), which has considerable activities with quantum technologies, from leading-edge research and innovation on quantum-based communication, quantum computing, and quantum-based sensors. The center also has a growing activity with an increasing interest in this technology, as manifested through the EU Quantum Flagship and a newly established NATO Quantum Center located in Copenhagen.

The National Strategy for Quantum Technology in Denmark offers substantial opportunities, and the candidate will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating DTU's projects within the EU Quantum Flagship and the EU Chips Act. Additionally, they will represent DTU and coordinate efforts with other strong actors and organizations within quantum technology.

To be successful, the candidate will require excellent networking and communication skills, an in-depth understanding of academia, and a proven track record in project management. An educational background in the natural or technical sciences is a distinct advantage.

The primary areas of responsibility include supporting and developing strategic initiatives across DTU's many quantum activities, coordinating quantum-related research, education, and innovation between departments, and facilitating cross-departmental research collaboration and funding applications. The candidate will also be responsible for communicating DTU's quantum-related research, education, and innovation internally and to stakeholders, including the political level.

The salary for this position is approximately **€105,000 - €130,000 per year**, depending on qualifications and experience. The position is permanent and full-time (37 hours per week). The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus, and the starting date is as soon as possible (according to mutual agreement).
