Imaging Researcher in Neurological Disorders

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic researcher for a 2-year position at the Department of Neuroscience, University of Copenhagen.
The project involves studying cellular models of neurodevelopmental delay and epilepsy using live cell imaging of neuronal activity. The goal is to detect consequences of disease mutation on the circuit level using imaging methods, which will be amenable to drug discovery.
Company OverviewThe Department of Neuroscience at the University of Copenhagen is an international research group interested in the mechanism of neurotransmitter release in chemical synapses and the molecular basis for neurodevelopmental diseases and epilepsy.
We use an interdisciplinary approach, combining human induced pluripotent stem cell (hIPSC)-derived neurons or mouse neurons with microscopy, electrophysiology, and omics methods.
We foster a collaborative and supportive spirit and collaborate with clinicians and patient groups.
The place of employment is at the Mærsk Tower, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen.
Required Skills and Qualifications- PhD or equivalent degree in natural or medical science.
- An excellent scientific track record.
- Solid experience with cell culture methods.
- Experience in fluorescence microscopy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in teams.
