The successful candidate will join our research team at the Department of Neuroscience, University of Copenhagen, working on a 2-year project focused on studying cellular models of neurodevelopmental delay and epilepsy using live cell imaging of neuronal activity.
This project aims to investigate how mutations in the neurotransmitter release machinery give rise to aberrant circuit activity underlying epilepsy and neurodevelopmental delays.
Job DescriptionYour main responsibilities will include:
- Using live cell microscopy of in vitro neuronal populations with fluorescent reporters.
- Performing image analysis.
- Identifying imaging parameters that are changed by mutation.
You will work closely with our research team and have access to modern laboratories within the Mærsk Tower.
The ideal candidate has a PhD or equivalent degree in natural or medical science and solid experience with cell culture methods, fluorescence microscopy, and excellent communication skills.
BenefitsThe University offers creative and stimulating working conditions in a dynamic and international research environment.
Our research facilities include modern laboratories, and you will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and resources.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and pension benefits.
