About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Technical Manager to lead our Coastal Engineering team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for driving the development and innovation of our coastal and hydraulic modeling skillset, leading hydraulic modeling assignments, and taking responsibility for technical project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the coastal engineering team strategy, focusing on resilience, renewables, net-zero, and nature-inclusive design.
  • Drive the development and innovation of our coastal and hydraulic modeling skillset as a team effort.
  • Lead hydraulic modeling assignments of all aspects, supporting EIAs, MetOcean studies, and diverse marine projects.
  • Take responsibility for technical project delivery as discipline lead/project manager from proposal stage to client handover.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality in our deliverables.
  • Promote our capabilities in the market and discover new market areas.
  • Co-create closely with clients and stakeholders, focusing on value creation.
  • Act as a role model for our younger team members.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled individual with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar) and 8+ years of proven experience in relevant coastal and marine expertise. You should have extensive experience with both traditional design and building with nature, comprehensive insight in relevant codes and design methodology, and large experience with complex multidisciplinary coastal projects.

You should be a confident communicator, enjoy pushing the innovation and technical excellence to the next level, and motivate younger engineers and onboard them on the coastal engineering journey.
