As a Software Test Engineer at Weibel, you will be part of our talented software team responsible for developing and maintaining customer-facing software. Our team takes the agile approach to project planning and execution, using DevOps on a wide scale to support daily work.
The team has extensive self-governance, designing and implementing solutions while ensuring quality and deadlines. We have a user-centric mindset, keeping track of details while providing end-users with intuitive and easily accessible solutions.
Main goals include keeping software up-to-date to support real-time and post-processing needs of customers, improving software quality and test procedures, and timely delivery of new radar features.
Your primary tasks will involve:
- Managing the test process
- Planning tests
- Ensuring readiness of all software components
- Availability of test equipment
- Executing tests
- Registering and reporting issues
- Documenting test outcomes
- Optimizing test procedures and processes
- Improving test coverage
We operate in a technical environment consisting of Windows and Linux applications covering front-end and back-end functionality and embedded software interacting with radar antennas and mechanics.
We seek an experienced software test professional with a proven track record in planning, managing, executing, and improving complex software tests. You should have experience with test interactions with physical equipment in industrial applications and a background in engineering and software development.
Your professional CV should include:
- Background in software development for industrial applications (preferably C++ or C#)
- Experience with development and execution of software tests in industrial applications
- DevOps and agile project management experience
- Atlassian Jira and Confluence experience
- Good communication skills in English both written and spoken
A technical background in software development for engineering is expected, but radar knowledge is not required. A steep learning curve is anticipated, with a tailored introduction available.
You will join a team of 13 developers within the overall software group, comprising approximately 60 highly skilled professionals with diverse backgrounds in computer science, engineering, mathematics, and physics. Collaboration is key to seamless transition from design to deployment of our software and algorithms.
