Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at JD Group. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our sales targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Development:
    • Train and develop internal employees to achieve their full potential and promote career progression within the company.
    • Assist with store recruitment, new starter inductions, and staff training to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Sales and Customer Service:
    • Monitor and analyze sales data to achieve targets and identify areas for improvement.
    • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that customers receive courteous, considerate, and responsible advice.
    • Deal with customer complaints in a prompt, courteous, and objective manner, in line with company policy.
  • Visual Merchandising:
    • Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies to attract and engage customers, driving sales and improving the overall shopping experience.
    • Ensure that all merchandise is correctly priced, and that all point-of-sale displays are well-maintained and visually appealing.
  • Leadership and Communication:
    • Lead and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
    • Communicate effectively with the Store Manager, other team members, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless store operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven retail management experience, with a track record of achieving sales targets and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
  • IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
