About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as Head of Crewing, Denmark. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing crewing activities for our Danish Ro-Ro and Passenger vessels.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Crew Management: Lead all crewing activities, ensuring compliance with training & qualification matrices and adhering to ILO, MLC, STCW, and Flag State requirements.
  • Marine HR Business Partnering: Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe working environment that values people and contributes to making us a great place to work.
  • Talent Acquisition and Development: Cultivate talent acquisition, engagement initiatives, and crew development to enhance motivation, retention, and career progression.
  • Marine Payroll Operations: Oversee Marine Payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and compliance while fostering efficiency and service excellence.
  • Crew Forecasting and Resource Planning: Drive crew forecasting, resource planning, and budget management.
  • Union Relations: Build strong collaborative relationships with trade unions and proactively manage collective bargaining agreements to achieve mutual goals.
About You

We're looking for a leader who has a passion for people and operational excellence, along with a proven track record in maritime commercial operations. You should be solution-focused, able to manage complex operational challenges while maintaining strong collaboration across teams.

  • Experience: Extensive experience in crewing, maritime operations, or a related senior management role.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Marine HR and Payroll processes, including compliance and workforce planning.
  • Expertise: Expertise in CBAs, union relations, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Communication Skills: High competence in cross-cultural communication and adaptation.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with experience in delivering appraisals, development plans, and disciplinary processes.
  • Financial Acumen: Financial acumen with experience in forecasting, budget management, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Languages: Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English (written and spoken) and Danish (written and spoken).
