As our new Sales Director, Digital Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and shaping the future of SaaS/DaaS in the maritime sector.
About the Job
As the sales leader for Danelec Connect, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with our overall business objectives. This includes driving the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring revenue targets are consistently met or exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Analysis and Strategy: Stay at the forefront of market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape within the maritime SaaS domain. Leverage insights to tailor sales approaches and identify untapped opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong and enduring relationships with key stakeholders in the maritime industry. Understand client needs, pain points, and goals to position Danelec Connect's solutions effectively.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing, technical pre-sales, CX, and integration/service delivery teams to ensure alignment between client needs and solution offerings.
- Sales Performance Tracking: Implement and utilize metrics-driven approaches to monitor sales performance, pipeline development, and forecast accuracy. Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing sales team. Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.
- Strong Network and Proven Track Record: Possess a strong network at C-suite level within the maritime industry and a proven track record of selling large software deals to shipping companies.
Requirements and Qualifications
We expect you to have a proven track record of 10+ years in B2B sales and business development within the maritime industry, preferably within the SaaS or technology sector. You must have demonstrated leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and exceptional interpersonal skills with a knack for building strong, trust-based relationships with clients and partners.
