Fiber Laser Scientist
At DTU, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PhD researcher to join our team focused on developing cutting-edge supercontinuum sources. The successful candidate will be part of an international research group working on the development of novel fiber laser systems and their applications in spectroscopy, imaging, and trace gas detection.
The project aims to create four new all-fiber supercontinuum sources that cover an enormous bandwidth from deep UV to mid-IR. You will be responsible for developing beamlines 2 and 3 using coherent ANDi supercontinuum generation pumped with ultra-short femtosecond fiber lasers. Your tasks will include designing and implementing both the pump lasers and the supercontinuum sources, as well as integrating them into our in-house developed spectroscopy and OCT systems.
Responsibilities and Qualifications- Developing beamlines 2 and 3 using coherent ANDi supercontinuum generation
- Designing and implementing pump lasers and supercontinuum sources
- Integrating sources into spectroscopy and OCT systems
- Collaborating with the team to implement sources in various applications
We require a master's degree in a relevant field, such as physics or engineering, and strong experimental skills in fiber optics and fiber lasers. Experience in building things yourself is also essential.
You must have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as you will work closely with the research team and contribute to the overall success of the project.
