About the Role

Terma A/S is seeking a seasoned Cloud Engineer Specialist to join our IT team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in cloud technologies, including serverless architecture patterns, container orchestration, and OpenStack platform administration, will enable us to optimize our multi-cloud environments and deliver unified and efficient platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide cloud systems maintenance, including routine operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and upgrading, to ensure efficient and secure operation.
  • Assess current cloud services and infrastructure, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement, as well as synergies between existing cloud platforms and solutions.
  • Support the integration of new technologies into our cloud systems, including GIT, Container registry, IAM, Kubernetes, HTC batch processing, serverless functions, and IaC scripts and configurations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve infrastructure automation strategies, ensuring successful evolution of our cloud systems.
  • Develop customer use cases and examples to demonstrate benefits and possibilities of our cloud offering, providing end-user support and ad-hoc training and expertise.

Your Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience managing, deploying, and scaling applications in different cloud technologies, including serverless architecture patterns, container orchestration, and OpenStack platform administration.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Git, Terraform, and Ansible, as well as knowledge of cloud networking concepts, including security groups, network access control lists, routing, firewalls, load balancing, subnetting, VPN, and virtual private clouds.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Bash, PowerShell, Python, or any other CLI for cloud infrastructure management and configuration.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Continuous Deployment best practices, principles, tools, and frameworks.
