About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Studies Procurement Specialist to join our R&D Procurement team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for driving category strategy development, planning, and execution in close collaboration with other Category Managers and Senior Category Managers. You will also manage sourcing projects and processes within Clinical Studies, including running RFPs, bid defense meetings, and negotiating Work Orders, Change Orders, and contracts.

  • Participate in lifecycle management of the relevant contract portfolio and strategic vendor relations, ensuring continued commercial and legal governance and value generation.
  • Take part in close collaboration with internal key stakeholders to secure project and strategy alignment.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Project management skills demonstrated through a minimum of 3 years' experience managing projects either in or related to Clinical Development.
  • Profound understanding of clinical studies, which could come from past roles in pharmaceutical development or a more procurement-related role with experience in clinical studies.
  • Business partnering skills, ability to influence, and an emphatic mindset.
  • An interest in building or further building your outsourcing skills (project management, negotiations, legal understanding, data analysis, and Category Management).
  • A Master's Degree from a University or Business School relevant to the position.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach.
  • The ability to manage many projects and tasks simultaneously with a high drive.
