We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Pathology Specialist to join our team at the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. The successful candidate will have a strong background in veterinary clinical pathology and a proven track record of research and academic leadership.

Job Description

The Clinical Pathology Specialist will be responsible for conducting research, providing research leadership and management, teaching and examining students, as well as leading the University of Copenhagen Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of biomarkers within veterinary haematology, inflammation, haemostasis, cancer, clinical biochemistry, endocrinology, cytology, and urinalysis.

The Clinical Pathology Specialist will also be expected to:

  • Develop and apply biomarkers and clinical pathological analyses
  • Lead research groups and participate in national and international scientific networks
  • Communicate research results to the public and lead knowledge exchange activities

We offer a competitive salary, which is estimated to be around 80,000 - 100,000 DKK per month, depending on qualifications and experience. Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have a DVM degree and a Danish authorization to practice veterinary medicine or be willing to apply for it shortly after commencing employment. You should also have a postgraduate degree (PhD or equivalent) within the fields of research mentioned above. Additionally, you should have completed a residency program, be board eligible or boarded within veterinary clinical pathology (ECVCP/ACVCP) and/or veterinary internal medicine (ECVIM/ACVIM).
